As 2026 is coming to an end within two months, there are still a few movies that have the potential to break records at the box office in India. Check the list of the most anticipated releases in the remaining days of 2026 that will hit the big screens and can create havoc in theatres.

From King to Ramayana and Avengers Doomsday, check the list of exciting movies that will hit the theatres in the rest of 2026.  

1. King

King marks Shah Rukh Khan's return to the big screens after three years. The movie will focus on a gangster but not much has been revealed about the plot. Apart from SRK, King also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, among others. It will hit the theatres on December 24, 2026. 

2. Ramayana

Ramayana is one of the most awaited movies not only in Bollywood but also in Indian cinema. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the lead roles, the movie will release worldwide on November 5, 2026. It will narrate the epic saga of Ramayana on the big screens.

3. Yeh Prem Mol Liya

Yeh Prem Mol Liya marks Sooraj Barjatya's return to the director's chair as he brings family drama with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in the lead roles. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Seema Pahwa, Saumya Tandon, Shaad Randhawa and Swanand Kirkire. It will hit the theatres on November 27, 2026. 

4. Dune 3

Dune 3 is the final installment of the trilogy and will follow Paul, who is forced to contend with the fallout of his ascent to the throne, including threats of an insurgency and visions of widespread pandemonium. Releasing on December 18, 2026 in India, the movie stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor Joy and Robert Pattinson in the lead roles. 

5. Avengers Doomsday

Avengers Doomsday will release in India on December 17, 2026, creating a huge hype and expected to perform well. The movie will follow Doctor Doom's threat across the universe and how the Avengers and their team try to save everyone. It is the direct sequel to Avengers Endgame and features a huge star cast. Robert Downey Jr, who played Iron Man aka Tony Stark in the previous films, will return to the MCU as Doctor Doom.

6. The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will follow young Haymitch Abernathy as he participates in the 50th Hunger Games. It is the prequel and sixth part of the popular Hunger Games franchise. The movie stars Joseph Zada, Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. It will release on November 20, 2026, worldwide.

7. Eetha

Eetha follows the life of the Tamasha and Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. Shraddha Kapoor stars in the lead role, alongside Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Siddharth Jadhav, Ishtiyak Khan, and Anant Joshi. The movie, which is biographical drama, will be released on December 4, 2026.
