Shehzada Trailer: Kartik Aaryan In Back-To-Back Action Sequences In Allu Arjun’s Remake

The trailer of the upcoming Hindi action film Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon was launched in an event held in Mumbai on January 12, 2023. The film is scheduled to have a theatrical release on February 10, 2023.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada marks the debut of Aaryan as a producer. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Monisha Koirala, and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.

Aaryan has successfully taken up the role of an action hero in the trailer while maintaining his hilarious comic timing. The action-packed trailer video begins with Aaryan beating up villains in back-to-back action sequences. The trailer gradually introduces the other characters in the trailer video. In the trailer, Aaryan seems to have his eyes on a mansion that Rawal doesn’t let him enter. But, following a tragic incident, Aaryan gets to know that he is actually the son of the owner of the same mansion and he goes forward protecting his family and property. Sanon plays the role of his love interest.

The upcoming film is a Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu action drama film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. The film also features Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Navdeep, Sunil, Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Vardhan, and Rajendra Prasad in pivotal roles.

The original film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo revolves around Bantu (played by Allu Arjun), a middle-class man who is often neglected by his father and believes in hard work. However, he is unaware of the fact that he is actually the son of a billionaire who was swapped by his present father to give his son a comfortable life. During a violent incident, Bantu encounters the truth and decides to enter Vaikunthapuram, the home of his real parents. The story unfolds as Bantu confronts the enemies who are a threat to his family.

The film collected ₹262–280 crore approximately worldwide and became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. The song Butta Bomma gained massive popularity across the country and went viral. Thaman won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the film and it also won as many as 10 South Indian International Movie Awards including Best Film – Telugu.

The teaser of Shehzaada was unveiled on the occasion of Aaryan’s birthday on November 22. Comparing Aaryan to Telugu actor Allu Arjun, they said following the teaser release that he chose the wrong script and why is he trying to be like the Telugu actor and that he is “overacting”.
