'Junior' Box Office Collection Day 2: Kireeti Reddy, Genelia D’Souza's Telugu Film Earns Rs 1.6 Crore After Decent Opening

The Telugu-Kannada bilingual film ‘Junior’ starring Kireeti Reddy, Sreeleela and Genelia D’Souza was released on July 18, 2025. The film had a great buzz prior to its release, given Kireeti’s high-profile launch. Directed by Radhakrishna Reddy, the film opened to a decent response at the box office, earning Rs 1.40 crore, as per the Sacnilk report.

Despite being a debutant-led movie, the early numbers of the Telugu movie ‘Junior’ are encouraging, giving it a modest start. On the opening day, the film earned Rs 1.40 crore, followed by Rs 0.26 crore. The Telugu version recorded an overall theatre occupancy of 22.00% with night shows drawing the largest audience (27.57%). The Kannada version, on the other hand, had a lesser theatre occupancy rate of 14.47%, with evening shows falling to 11.79%. While the morning and afternoon occupancy rate stayed steady at 13–14%, the evening shows experienced a slight jump of 18.06% in the occupancy.

While the numbers are not record-breaking, they still seem promising given the mixed critical reception and limited release in some areas.
