Two big Bollywood films are set to clash in theatres this Independence Day 2026. 

4. Batwara 1947

Batwara 1947 stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, Khushi Hajare, and Kanikka Kapur. Produced by Aamir Khan, the movie follows a Muslim family that migrates from Lucknow to Lahore during the 1947 partition. The movie will release in theatres on August 14.

5. Awarapan 2

Awarapan 2 stars Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles. The plot follows Shivam, a hitman, who is aided in recovery at a Buddhist monastery. He gets into new battles as old ghosts and new enemies emerge. The movie will arrive in theatres on August 14, 2026.
