Agastya Nanda’s much-anticipated big-screen debut, ‘Ikkis’, arrived in cinemas on January 1, 2026, marking a significant New Year release for Bollywood. The film, which also features veteran star Dharmendra in his final on-screen appearance, was positioned as a solo release after being moved from its earlier Christmas 2025 date. However, despite the emotional weight of its subject and a notable ensemble cast, the film’s box office journey has remained uneven.
According to Sacnilk, 'Ikkis' has wrapped up its first five days at the Indian box office with a total collection of approximately ₹20.18 crore. While the opening numbers were encouraging, the war drama witnessed fluctuations over the weekend, followed by a sharp dip on Monday.

As per the Sacnilk report, here is the detailed day-wise breakup of 'Ikkis' collections in India:
Note: It is worth noting that the Day 5 figures are based on live data, with only advance numbers till around 10 pm included, and the final count is expected to be updated hourly.
After a noticeable drop on Day 2, ‘Ikkis’ showed some recovery over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday brought moderate growth, suggesting that word of mouth and the patriotic theme helped draw audiences to theatres.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Ikkis’ is inspired by the life of Indian Army officer Arun Khetarpal, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1971 India–Pakistan War. He was posthumously awarded the ‘Param Vir Chakra’, India’s highest military honour.
The film not only marks the theatrical debut of Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, but also features a strong supporting cast including Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikander Kher and Vivaan Shah.
For now, ‘Ikkis’ has managed to cross the ₹20 crore mark in five days, but the next few weekdays will be crucial in determining whether it can build on this start or continue to slow down at the box office.
