National Cinema Day was first observed in 2022 on September 23 when the MAI offered tickets at just ₹75 and the deal was availed by over 65 lakh movie lovers.
As per the reports, this year the event was postponed for a month as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was released in September and the slashed prices might have hindered its box office collection.

This year, some of the major multiplex cinema chains and theatres will be backing this exciting offer like PVR, Carnival, Miraj, Wave, Movietime, INOX, Cinepolis, M2K and more. Although, there is an exception to this offer on the recliners and premium formats like 4DX and IMAX.
The MAI took to Twitter to share the news with cinema lovers as they wrote: “National Cinema Day is back on October 13th. Join us at over 4000+ screens across India for an incredible cinematic experience, with movie tickets priced at just ₹99.”

Visit any ticket booking partner platforms like Paytm, BookMyShow or any other and look for tickets on October 13, 2023. Lock in your preferences and at the checkout, you will be charged ₹99 and other applicable fees and taxes. You can also visit the theatre’s box office if you want to avoid the additional charges.
