However, it seems like fans will have to wait much longer for the third instalment. According to several media reports, the shooting for Euphoria season 3 has been delayed.

Reportedly, the scripts for season 3 are still being written. The news comes after a report that the show’s third season has been scrapped entirely. Production on the show’s third season has long been delayed due to many reasons including Hollywood strikes and the tragic death of Angus Cloud in July 2023, who played local drug dealer Fez. Also, the show has launched most of its cast like Jacob Elordi, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney And Hunter Schafer into the echelon of Hollywood, making it tougher to coordinate production schedules.

When Will Euphoria Season 3 Release?

In November 2023, HBO confirmed that the show’s third season is expected to return in 2025. Despite the rumours of the series cancellation, the platform confirms that season 3 is still in the works. However, according to Variety, HBO has revealed that the cast is free to pursue other opportunities, which implies filming isn't scheduled to begin anytime soon. Till now there isn’t any exact premiere date shared by the makers.

What Cast Will Be Returning For Euphoria Season 3?

Zendaya, being an executive producer and lead cast of the show is a highly expected character to return no matter what anyone speculates anything about her dying of drug overdose. Other casts including Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Jacob Elordi, are all expected to return considering the unending chaos they created by the end of season 2. However, Barbie Ferreira quit the show in August 2022. “After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character, Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” she wrote in an Instagram story at the time.
