Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 9: Harshvardhan Rane-Sonam Bajwa Starrer Inches Closer To ₹50 Crore Mark

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat box office collection day 9: Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, was released on Diwali and has emerged as a box office success. Despite a clash with the major release of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's Thamma, the film is now inching close to the ₹50 crore mark domestically.

After reporting decent numbers in its extended opening weekend, Harshvardhan Rane's film had an estimated collection of ₹3.50 crore on its first Monday (Day 7), an estimated ₹4.35 crore on Tuesday (Day 8) and ₹0.08 crore on Wednesday till now. This brings the film's total domestic net collection to approximately ₹49.43 crore, according to early estimates from Sacnilk. This strong performance positions the film to cross the ₹50 crore milestone imminently.

While Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is still far behind the numbers of its competitor, the horror-comedy Thamma, which is nearing the ₹100 crore mark, the Milap Zaveri directorial is nonetheless a significant winner. Made on a modest budget of around ₹25 crore, the film has managed to recoup its production cost and earn a solid return on investment in just eight days. Crucially, the film has also beaten the impressive lifetime collection of Harshvardhan Rane's previous hit, Sanam Teri Kasam, which stood at ₹42.28 crore (including its successful re-release total).

Harshvardhan Rane On The Film's Success

Recently, lead actor Harshvardhan Rane visited a cinema to thank fans for their support, calling the film's success a win for "outsiders" in the industry.

"Watch both the films, please, and enjoy both," he said, referring to the clash with Thamma. He added, "This sends a good message out, that you people alone have wiped out nepotism from Bollywood." He further expressed his hope that fans enjoyed the film and encouraged those who haven't seen it to watch it soon.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Plot
