Baby John First Day Advance Booking Report: Varun Dhawan-Keerthy Suresh's Film Off To A Good Start

The highly anticipated film, ‘Baby John’, is set for a strong box-office debut. As the first-day booking data rolls in, the film shows promising signs of a solid opening across India. Here's a breakdown of its performance.

According to Sacnilk, the advance bookings for ‘Baby John’ have already raised excitement for its first day of release, with the film’s gross earnings from early ticket sales showing positive momentum. The Hindi version in 2D has earned ₹60.68 Lakh in advance booking alone. The number of tickets sold stands at 19,232, with an impressive 3,597 shows scheduled across cinemas.

The film’s performance is spread out across various states in India, with some regions showing greater excitement than others. According to Sacnilk:

• Maharashtra leads the pack with a gross of ₹14.25 Lakh and 782 shows booked. The state is showing solid demand, with a good percentage of tickets already sold.
• Delhi follows closely with a gross of ₹12.34 Lakh and 550 shows. The National Capital Region (NCR) is proving to be a key area for the film’s opening.
• Tamil Nadu has also seen strong early sales with ₹2.95 Lakh grossing through advance bookings, particularly in Chennai where there’s a notable 15% occupancy.
• Karnataka is also showing promising numbers, with a total advance gross of ₹5.06 Lakh from 105 shows.

While the major metropolitan areas have seen higher gross earnings, some regions are more modest in their advance sales. As per Sacnilk:

• Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh are showing lower figures, with ₹3.15 Lakh and ₹440 gross respectively. These regions are seeing minimal occupancy, indicating that the film’s appeal may be more concentrated in specific urban centres.
• Chhattisgarh and Bihar have recorded figures of ₹1.42 Lakh and ₹1.06 Lakh, with occupancy percentages remaining low (2%-4%). However, these states are expected to pick up post-release, depending on word-of-mouth and regional buzz.
• Kerala is showing signs of slow growth with a gross of ₹37.95 K, indicating that audiences are more selective about the films they choose to watch in theatres.
