Kalees-directed high-octane action thriller ‘Baby John’ starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi struggles to perform at the box office. Despite several factors adding to its hype including the fact that it's an official remake of the South drama ‘Theri’ which proved to be a massive success, Varun’s movie failed to live up to the hype. Even the calculative Christmas release and Badlapur actor’s massy avatar weren’t able to mint even Rs 30 crore at the box office by day 5.

As per the Sacnilk report, on its first Sunday i.e., 5th day, the movie was able to earn Rs 4.75 crore, making its total of Rs 28.65 crore in India. Read on to learn the complete box office collection details for Baby John.

However, the second day saw a 50% dip in the theatre occupancy, earning only Rs 4.75. On its first Friday, i.e., day 3, it further witnessed a drop with a business of Rs 3.65 crore. While on May 4, things looked a bit better with a Rs 4.25 crore collection, the party didn’t last long with Sunday witnessing a huge drop with only 17.38 per cent occupancy on the theatres, making Rs 4.75 crore in India. The total box office collection stands at a disappointing Rs 28.65 crore, failing to even touch the Rs 30 crore mark.

Baby John Review

Varun’s action thriller has received mixed reviews from audiences since its release. One excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of Baby John read, “Overall, there’s nothing much that makes Baby John stand out apart from the action. It’s watchable if you can sit through the boring songs and the atrocious first half hour. PS- Please stop wasting Salman Khan for a cameo in every other film. Kitni baar use karoge, Bhai?”
