The wait is over. The trailer of Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming biopic Eetha is finally out, and it has already got people talking. Directed by Laxman Utekar and backed by Maddock Films, the film is based on the life of Lavani and Tamasha legend Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. It releases in cinemas on December 4, 2026.

What Does The Eetha Trailer Show?

The trailer gives a peek into Vithabai's world, from dusty village roads and packed folk performances to the quieter, heavier moments behind the stage. Shraddha is seen in a traditional Marathi look, in nine-yard sarees, a nath and heavy gold jewellery, and in several frames she is dancing with ghungroos on, surrounded by cheering crowds. Randeep Hooda also appears in a few shots, though his character is not fully revealed yet. The makers had earlier shared a poster with the line "Naach nahi, raaj karne aa rahi hai Eetha", and the trailer seems to follow the same mood.

Who Is Vithabai Narayangaonkar?

Vithabai was one of Maharashtra's best-known folk artists, who spent decades performing Lavani and Tamasha for audiences across villages. The film follows her journey from struggle to stardom, and Shraddha plays her in the lead role.

The reactions on X have been mostly positive. One user said the trailer reveals very little but still gives a good feel of the film's world, and that Shraddha looks right for the part. The same user felt Randeep Hooda could have had more screen time and singled out Ajay-Atul's music as something to look forward to.

Another fan called it Shraddha's best look so far. They praised the cinematography, the locations and the set design, and said they can't wait to watch her performance. A third viewer said they were completely sold after the trailer, called the last part "insane", and is already counting down to December 4.
