Following several delays, Jana Nayagan is set to arrive in theatres worldwide within a few days. Thalapathy Vijay-starrer is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases of the year and is expected to open to excellent numbers too. Before its release, the makers have dropped some new glimpses from Jana Nayagan to create more excitement among fans.

In the teaser, Thalapathy Vijay is seen performing intense action sequences, produced on a huge scale. The makers also added glimpses of the actor-politician after he became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Why was Jana Nayagan delayed?
The movie, which was supposed to release in January 2026, was delayed due to a dispute between the makers and the CBFC over politically sensitive dialogues. Previously given a U/A certificate, the decision to release the film was halted after an examining committee member filed an internal complaint, saying the film might hurt public sentiments. CBFC has now given an 'A' certificate to Jana Nayagan.

What are the changes made in Jana Nayagan?
According to media reports, several prominent changes have been made in the film. The name of Vijay's character has been changed, which was reported to be Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, shortened to TVK. But TVK also stands for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, the name of Vijay's political party.
Other changes include the deletion of the Indian flag falling on the ground, words like Bhagavatham and Ranganathar being muted, words like OM and New India being removed, among others. The dialogue "Ambedkar sattam...to... TVK sattam" has also been replaced. The final runtime of the film is now 3 hours and 3 minutes.
The movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani.
Jana Nayagan is Thalapathy Vijay’s last film and fans don’t want to miss any chance to see their favourite star on the big screen for the final time. As the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, he wants to focus entirely on politics.
