Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated final cinematic outing, Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, has taken the worldwide box office by storm on its opening day. Generating historic fan frenzy and massive theatre attendance, the political action drama comfortably crossed the ₹20 crore worldwide gross mark within its early opening shows. Driven primarily by bumper bookings and packed morning shows in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and key international markets, Vijay’s farewell film is on track for a blockbuster opening weekend.

As per Sacnilk, on Day 1, Jana Nayagan is currently running across 7,524 shows and has collected a net of ₹17.81 Cr today. This brings total India gross collections to ₹21.02 Cr and total India net to ₹17.81 Cr so far, with India final collections yet to be reported.

Jana Nayagan Occupancy Rate

The movie has an overall morning occupancy of 38%. The biggest revenue-generating movie is the Tamil one, earning Rs. 15.61 crore from 4,315 shows with 54% occupancy and also 73.85% morning occupancy.
