Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection 1st Weekend:
According to the website Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan collected Rs 124.75 crore in total in India. The movie had excellent earnings for the first weekend in India, collecting Rs 28.90 crore on Saturday and Rs 32 crore on Sunday. As per ETimes, the movie has also been performing well globally, collecting Rs 217.48 crore gross.

Fans eagerly waited for the film’s release as it was delayed several times.
Why didn’t Jana Nayagan release in January 2026?
The movie faced several delays because of differences of opinion between the makers and the CBFC over politically sensitive dialogues. This happened after an examining committee member filed an internal complaint, saying the film might hurt public sentiments.
Jana Nayagan received an A certificate but was previously given a U/A certificate. Despite the certification, the movie is not affected and has become one of the biggest Tamil hits.
Over this decision, director H Vinoth expressed his mixed feelings, while also sharing his joy over the film's release. "I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I am happy that we have received the censor certificate, but also sad that we got an A-certificate. I am happy that the film is releasing, but I am also waiting to see if audiences will come to theatres to watch a film that was leaked. The bookings are strong, so I am hoping that people will support the film," he told The Hindu.
The movie also stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, with Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain, and Priyamani.
