Jailer 2 has hit the cinemas today on 15th October 2026, and this Rajinikanth movie is a sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Rajnikanth has returned as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, and fans are giving their first impressions of the action packed Tamil blockbuster. Many viewers have praised the superstar’s performance, whereas some have lambasted its climax.

Interestingly he has the same search for the boss of the mafia concept like doctor. It’s Kerala and there it’s Goa. Rajini has found best material in dark comedy. He is mass elevated in dark comedy and heroism.

However, the weak screenplay, predictable writing, and underwhelming second half ruin the overall experience.

Even Rajinikanth's superstar aura couldn't save the film. The villains lack impact, the cameos feel forced, and the elevation scenes fail to deliver the expected goosebumps.

Expected a blockbuster entertainer, but got a forgettable, below-average sequel. A huge letdown considering the hype and expectations!

Priya who goes by @PpdThiago says, Jailer 2 - First half started slow but eventually picked up pace. The typical Nelson–Anirudh–Yogi Babu magical combo worked its charm and made things entertaining. 

Second half - DISASTER! Every 15 minutes, a new villain is introduced for no apparent reason, and why they’re even there is anyone’s guess! Every character feels forced, and the story keeps going around in circles with no real direction.

Started with some promise, but completely lost the plot in the second half. Just a one-time watch! 2.5/5
