Lakme Fashion Week 2026: Ali Fazal, AKA Guddu Bhaiya, closed Lakme Fashion Week on Day 3, as he gracefully walked the ramp for Tasva by Tarun Tahiliani at Lakme Fashion Week 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The latest menswear collection by Tarun at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) was an intersection of Indian craftsmanship and modern contemporary silhouettes.

Ali Fazal Turned Showstopper For Tarun Tahiliani

Ali Fazal added a dose of star power, dressed in a breathtaking ivory Angarakha seamlessly layered beneath a sharp Bandhgala jacket and draped with an exquisitely embroidered stole, a look that struck the perfect chord between regal heritage and modern sophistication.

Closing the show on a high-energy note, Fazal broke into a spontaneous dance alongside designer Tarun Tahiliani, models, and the creative team behind Tasva. The celebratory moment beautifully captured the collection’s core philosophy.

Reflecting on his runway moment during the media interaction, Fazal shared his admiration for the ensemble's craft and fluid design: "I absolutely adore this. I am so happy that I get to wear this, it's a beautiful combination of modern and regal Indian finesse."

Tasva By Tarun Tahiliani

Covering the showcase live from the front row, one thing became immediately clear, this wasn't just another ceremonial menswear parade. It was a masterclass in how traditional Indian craftsmanship can comfortably coexist with modern, effortless tailoring for the contemporary groom.

Reimagining traditional occasionwear through sleek silhouettes, intricate surface ornamentation, and an extraordinarily versatile color story, Tarun Tahiliani delivered a collection that felt both deeply rooted in heritage and radically relevant for today’s groom.

"At Tasva, our approach has always been to make Indian occasionwear feel relevant to the way men dress and celebrate today. This collection brings together the beauty of traditional craftsmanship with a more contemporary understanding of silhouette, comfort, and individuality," shared Tarun Tahiliani.

Tarun's Inspiration for Latest Collection

At the core of the collection lies a rich artistic narrative drawn from four primary inspirations the eternal Tree of Life, the geometric fluidity of Lipan Art, classic paisleys, and the transformative Art of Light. Rather than overwhelming the garments with heavy traditional motifs, Tahiliani translated these inspirations into clean, textured surface stories.

The runway featured a striking blend of artisan techniques, with intricate zardosi, aari work, and fine mirror embellishments. The modern detailing came with 3D floral embellishments, delicate pearl work, and subtle appliqué work layered over sharp cuts.

The collection transitioned seamlessly from soft, sunlit hues tailored for haldi and daytime pheras to dramatic, deep tones crafted for sangeet nights and reception parties.
