Sam Neill, Hollywood star of Jurassic Park fame, passed away at the age of 78. His fans and well-wishers from across the world expressed their grief and shock over this loss. They paid their heartfelt tribute by remembering Sam Neill's incredible work. 

His family issued an official statement and said, "It is with immense sadness that the whānau (extended family) of Sam Neill share the news of his passing on Monday, July 13, in Sydney, Australia. Sam was surrounded by family and died with the dignity that has characterised his whole life."

For the unversed, the actor was undergoing treatment for stage three angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer, in 2022. But he was cancer free at the time of his death. "The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer free," the statement added.
