Sir Patrick Stewart died on October 28 at his home in Los Angeles. He was 86. His spokesperson said he passed away in the care of his wife Sunny, following a journey with Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementia. Fans know him as Captain Picard and Professor X. His life, though, covers a lot more.
Patrick Stewart's Biggest Career Moments
He did not start in front of a green screen. Stewart started on stage. He was with the Royal Shakespeare Company by 1966, made it to Broadway in 1971, and picked up an Olivier in 1979 for Antony and Cleopatra. Most people know him for what came later. Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation made him global, and Professor X in X-Men made him iconic for a whole new generation. The industry noticed too - Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1996, knighthood for drama in 2010. And then, in his seventies, he did something rare. He put the uniform back on and returned as Picard. Not many actors get to do that.

Patrick Stewart Net Worth: How Much Was He Worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, his wealth in 2025 was estimated at around $75 million,( approx Rs 620 crore). These numbers are estimates and vary from site to site. Most of his earnings came from Star Trek, the X-Men films and years of stage and voice work.
Patrick Stewart's Fight Against Domestic Violence
The success story starts somewhere painful. Stewart grew up in Yorkshire in a poor family. He had spoken about a childhood marked by poverty and domestic violence, and about an abusive father. He never treated it as a private shame. He spoke about what he saw at home as a boy, and he backed organisations that support survivors, including the UK charity Refuge. A man with his fame could easily have stayed quiet. He chose to talk.
Why Does His Voice Mattered?
Abuse often stays hidden because families are told to keep it behind closed doors. When someone as admired as Stewart said it had happened in his own home, it made it easier for others to speak.
He leaves behind great performances, a large fortune and a cause he kept alive for years.
