white outfit tips and tricks

Most people who have a chic and sophisticated wardrobe tend to have a lot of whites in their cupboard. Without a fair number of white clothing pieces, a chic wardrobe shall remain incomplete. Well, as much as we all love wearing white outfits, it comes with several downsides. For instance, hite clothing pieces are undoubtedly high maintenance.

It has to be a breezy white dress if we are talking of the perfect summer outfit! Apart from the heat-reflecting aspect, white is the ideal blend of stylish, easy-going, and effortless, which is precisely what you need during these hot, humid months.

We understand your love for white, as well as the conundrum of wearing it if you happen to be even a bit clumsy. And it's usually strewn with unobtrusive stains and random patches from the lunch. Not to mention perspiration stains, dirty hems, and the surprise appearance of the see-through effect when you're not expecting it.

Makeup First

If you're using makeup, especially creamy or liquid cosmetics, make sure it's set and dry before putting on your white top. The same may be said for BB cream, moisturiser, or any other cosmetic you choose to put on your face.

Always remember to put your makeup and sunscreen on before putting on your white outfit. This will save all the unwanted makeup stains on your favourite attires.

Wear White Or Neutral Coloured Inners

When you wear white underwear under a white top or a pair of jeans, it appears much more opaque rather than translucent. White inners neutralise your white clothing, especially the lighter ones designed for summer otherwise bright colours will only shine through your attire making it look

When it comes to choosing a nude innerwear, choose a colour that is closer to your skin tone and will blend in and will camouflage with your white outfit. One must never forget this golden guideline!

Always Carry A Scarf

As much as we dislike it, crisis situations involving whites are unavoidable. You can be extremely cautious all day and then spill Coca-Cola all over your white shirt. Not to give you the creeps, but keep an emergency scarf handy in case this happens. Draping a lovely scarf over a white top will help hide stains, especially stains from food or liquids that tend to stain the front of your top.

An all-white top is always vulnerable to staining. It could just be your paranoia, but are you willing to take the chance? Take our advice and wear a white t-shirt with a modest logo, emblem, or graphics to detract attention from an inadvertent lipstick stain. Also, during lunch, tissues are your best friend; just slip a few into your collar as you eat. Don't worry if you look silly for 20 minutes or so; it'll be better than wearing a ruined white top all day.

Deodorant For Underarms

deodorant

We understand if you like perfume that's great but not if you're dressed in white. Sure, spritz some after you put on your white top, but if you're going to wear a white shirt in the summer, always spray sweat-absorbing deodorant under your arms. Sweat stains are unsightly, and you don't want to be running around with your hands on your thighs all day.

Our underarms tend to sweat a lot and especially during the summer months. It’s not so much of a problem when wearing colours other than white, whereas if you happen to don a white garment you ought to use a sweat-absorbent on your underarms.
