Manish Malhotra's Mijwan Show: Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal Give An Ode To Chikankari Craftsmanship

Manish Malhotra hosted his 15th edition of the much awaited, Mijwan Fashion Show in Mumbai on Saturday night, and it was an extraordinary celebration of Indian craftsmanship. With Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal being the showstopper, the show caught everyone's attention as the duo will be seen opposite each other in Love & War. The Mijwan Fashion Show 2026 was no less than a love letter to chikankari embroidery, handcrafted by women artisans associated with the Mijwan Welfare Society.

Alia Bhatt's Ivory Chikankari Saree

Alia Bhatt looked like a dream in a custom ivory chikankari saree by Manish Malhotra. The saree featured intricate chikankari work, sequins, silver embellishments and scalloped borders.

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, she opted for a bandeau-style blouse, which featured appliqué work, spaghetti straps, a square neckline and a cropped and fitted silhouette. Meanwhile, the sheer veil also had chikankari embroidery and sequins. She kept her hair in a sleek bun and accessorised her stunning saree with heavy diamond choker along with  earrings, a maang tikka and statement rings.

Vicky Kaushal's Midnight Blue Chikankari Sherwani

Vicky Kaushal also made heads turn in a midnight-blue and ivory sherwani set from Manish Malhotra's Mijwan collection. He paired the midnight-blue bandhgala jacket sherwani with a white kurta and matching flared trousers.

The sherwani exudes regal vibes with a collared neckline, padded shoulders, full-length sleeves, side slits and a single-button fastening at the front. He accessorised his look with a diamond-encrusted chain, statement rings, and white juttis.

Several celebrities graced Manish Malhotra's Mijwan Show in Mumbai. Alia Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan, and her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, showed their support at the show and exuded elegance and grace with their looks.

Soni Razdan stunned in a shimmering lavender-pink sharara set featuring intricate embroidery and sparkling embellishments. Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor looked graceful in a bright fuchsia kurta set, featuring gold embroidery around the neckline and chest and gold borders along the cuffs and hemline.

Alia and Vicky Kaushal's pairing created even more excitement among the viewers and attendees as they are set to star together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, releasing in January 2027.
