At Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI 2026, designer Reby Kumar brought a sun-kissed escape to the Taj Palace runway with GUAPA’s Spring/Summer 2027 line 'Golden Hour'. The collection takes its cue from that brief, beautiful window before dusk, when light turns warm and colours appear richer. She translated that mood into clothes with vibrance and fluidity that have been crafted for a woman who moves between holidays, city life and evening celebrations.

Staying true to the label’s identity, the lineup was high on easy kaftans, modern dresses and relaxed sets brought to life with GUAPA’s signature hand-drawn prints and bold colour pairings.

What made it special was the detailing. Old-world techniques like badla and gota work were used subtly to add a soft glimmer, while patchwork detailing created fresh, unexpected textures.

While speaking to Her Zindagi, Reby Kumar shares her idea of waste management through her brand and how she creates pieces that you can wear and style again.

"We are very into waste management, and we upcycle literally even an iota of fabric that we have in our studio.  If I have a piece in my wardrobe and I don't want to make anything which I don't want to wear myself. If I have a bikini top, I want to be able to wear it in the city as well. I don't want to just reserve it for a holiday to the beach," Reby Kumar shares.

She adds, "Therefore, I felt that there have been such pieces which can be reused and people are putting money into them. You want to be able to use that garment multiple times. So even our shirts, for example, you can wear them to work. You can wear them. Shirts are our hero pieces. You can wear them to a birthday party or to a brunch."

With Golden Hour, GUAPA reinforced its position as a modern Indian luxury label rooted in Indian handwork, but designed with a global, resort-to-city wardrobe in mind.
