The dates for Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) are finally out and the most prestigious event is going to take place from October 14- 18, 2026, at Taj Palace, New Delhi, with Manish Malhotra, Amit Aggarwal and more to participate. The show is set to lift the curtain on the year's most awaited fashion event, showcasing trends and designer pieces on the runway for the first time.

The national capital is set to become the fashion conversation for the coming days, with designers all ready to hit the runway with one-of-a-kind special and most awaited looks from the night. Here are all the details you need to check before the event takes place in Delhi.

Lakme Fashion Week 2026 returns to New Delhi

Presented by the House of  Lakmē, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Reliance Brands, the season will spotlight the people, partnerships and ideas driving fashion forward. Bringing together designers, brands, creators, innovators and industry leaders, Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI continues to serve as a platform where creativity meets commerce, and where cultural conversations, emerging talent and new opportunities shape the future of Indian fashion.

From giving an opportunity to new designers with a showcase during the day, to showcasing the latest collections of prominent designers during the evening with a runway show. Not just one, but many young designers are given a chance who are bringing there A game to the fashion world and inspire others with a strong focus on craft and conscious designs. There is more than one designer who must be on your watchlist for 2026.

Manish Malhotra Returns to Lakme Fashion Week

Manish Malhotra will be seen hitting the runway for Lakme Fashion Week after a gap of three years. The designer will be representing his latest festive collection through Maruti Suzuki NEXA Presents Manish Malhotra Luxury Pret showcase. The return marks an interesting point in the festive calendar, as the Indian market is at its peak for fashion and with the upcoming wedding season, brides are always ready to explore the exclusive Manish Malhotra designs.

Other designers like Namrata Jishipura, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani, Samant Chauhan, and Ashish N Soni will be seen leading the runway with the latest collection.

Pero To Open Fashion Week

The opening show will be showcased by a collaboration between Tira and Lakme with Pero, bringing the label's craftsmanship and contemporary Indian design to the front. The runway will host NIF Global's The Runway, giving young students and designers an opportunity to present their work before the industry, media and audience.

The show will be concluded with AM.IT by Amit Aggarwal feature at the Lakme Grand Finale. Aggarwal will be bringing beauty and fashion together, using Lakme to showcase the relationship between design and self-expression.
