For the wedding celebrations, Dove picked a custom white gown by Alessandro Michele for Valentino. It is made of silk satin and layers of soft silk chiffon, with a sculpted bustier on top and a long, dramatic train of more chiffon behind. In the photos from her final fitting in Rome, the neckline is strapless, with soft draping falling off the arms.

The back has a row of silk-covered buttons running from the center all the way to the end of the train. Left undone, they open into a sweeping split that moves like a fan when she walks.
