'Devi' - God Is A Woman: Rahul Mishra's Jaw-Dropping, Temple-Inspired Paris Haute Couture Collection

Known for bringing Indian craftsmanship to a global stage, Rahul Mishra has been grabbing attention again with his new collection at Paris Haute Couture Week. With his 'Devi: The Eternal Muse' collection, he brought India's rich history to life. Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection was all about celebrating India’s artistic legacy.

What is Rahul Mishra's ‘Devi: The Eternal Muse’ about?

Rahul Mishra reimagined ancient Indian sculptures from around 2000 years ago with his 'Devi: The Eternal Muse' collection. This translation of India’s ancient history into wearable art is no less than a milestone for Indian craftsmanship.

The collection is also a tribute to divine beauty and a celebration of femininity. Embroidery techniques like zardozi and dabka have been used to create ethereal looks to resemble carved stones, copper or bronze statues. From charcoal grey bodysuits to bronze coloured gowns, every outfit is a sight to behold. According to Vogue, Mishra teamed up with clay artisan Sumant Kumar to create his collection.

Meanwhile, the jewellery was designed in collaboration with Tanishq Natural Diamonds.

While speaking about this collection, Rahul Mishra said, “The collection is all about time travel. We have created something which takes all the symbolism of an ancient sculpture, which is probably more than 2000 years old, found in the southern part of India; all the motifs come out from there. All the jewellery which is inbuilt into a stone-like surface is created out of that, as if we are reliving couture with the same ideas that created these sculptures and what created a muse for these sculptures.”

Who attended the Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection show?

Isha Ambani and rapper Cardi B made heads turn at the event. Isha looked stunning in a custom strapless gown, featuring a corset bodice embellished with detailed embroidery and sequins. Meanwhile, the draped midi skirt with embroidered floral appliqués along the waist created a divine look. She completed her look with diamond stud earrings and a diamond pendant necklace. Her Hermès Sac Bijou Birkin caught everyone's attention as it is one of the world's rarest and most expensive handbags.

Cardi B looked exquisite in a beautiful ivory sculpted gown, which featured a body-contouring silhouette. Her look created an illusion of an ancient marble sculpture with detailed handcrafted embroidery around the waist. She completed her look with diamond earrings and a crystal headpiece that rested on her forehead, looking similar to a maangtika.
