The next year the event saw Deepika Padukone dazzle the Met Gala red carpet dressed in a scarlet red Prabal Gurung gown fit. The Bajirao Mastani actor’s 2018 OOTD that boasted of an A-line body - cocooning floor-length dress fit created the best fashion moment with the trail that followed her around.

For her 2019 Met Gala appearance Deepika picked designer Zac Posen. She put her most experimental fashion foot forward that year at the Met, dressed literally as a Barbie Doll. The Pathaan actor draped a soft baby pink gown fit that boasted of a metallic satin fabric synched around her waist with pleat detailing and stiff waves that stretched towards the floor. She teamed this with jewels-encrusted hair band and statement earrings to go.
