Barbiecore All The Way Ft. The Upcoming Barbie Movie

The Barbiecore trend caught up with the much anticipated Barbie movie featuring Margot Robbie as the classic Barbie beauty and Ryan Gosling playing the ever so gorgeous Ken in a chiselled beach body and freshly bleached hair. Paparazzi pictures of the two stunning stars have been the talk of the town since they appeared in the tabloids during the shoot that started last June.

The upcoming 2023 movie headed by Greta Gerwig clubbed with Valentino’s 2022 fall runway show has stirred up the pink phenomenon! Who are we kidding now, we’re all living in the Barbie world! The hot pink hues were called the “it thing” this season to sport in collaboration with pantone Viva Magenta. All the shining stars across B-town & Hollywood are strutting out clad in their pinks for the red carpets and movie festivals alike.

Imagine the chill, lazy, sunny days of the 1980s to the early 2000s. That’s the era we’re making all the hooha about! “More is more” is #Barbiecore’s mantra. After all, the hot pink hues are just a part of the trend. The throwback to those decades and channelling them is a real big part too.

All the delicious divas and the Greek Gods are donning the trend now in the run up to the Barbie movie’s release. Soon to follow was Kim Kadarshian painted the gram hot pink with her powder pink pants boots made extra sweet teamed with a cropped pink hoodie and an encrusted pink Balenciaga Hourglass bag. Barbie has been a style inspiration for quite some time now with Hailey Bieber’s nostalgic Halloween costume in 2016. It was all the rage at Coachella too in April this year with Harry Styles making the girls swoon while he stepped out literally dressed in pink feathers.

How To Style The Barbiecore Trend

The Barbiecore trend has in a way stepped away from the plastic and moved towards breathing life into the new age Barbie dolls. The human adaptation of the beautifully vibrant trend across the board is epic. But the good old classic Barbiecore trend included a sickeningly sweet pink style with interesting silhouettes ranging from latex mini dresses to dainty fit and flares, and style staples such as sparkles and feathers which make much of the trend.
