Athiya’s Mehendi Look Ft. Her Nani’s Jewels & A Custom 24 - Kali Chikankari Lehenga

The KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty wedding story has been breaking the internet like cray. The happy couple has been dropping pictures of the various functions on their gram and we have been drooling over them non stop. The couple recently shared lovey-dovey pictures from their mehendi ceremony that have been the talk of the town. Suniel Shetty's darling daughter picked a minimal chic custom chikankari lehenga from the house of Anjul Bhandari. The actor was also adorned in no less than a shower of 39,000 Swarovski crystals embedded in her lehenga that was paired to perfection with her nani's vintage chandbali earrings for the mehendi ceremony. Athiya truly made a statement with this choice and synced to perfection with the something borrowed something blue mantra. Her nani’s heritage jewels were truly the most beloved and best accessory for her heirloom outfit.

Time stopped for a moment when Athiyaand Rahul’s wedding pictures made their debut on the gram on Sunday evening. Athiya was styled by celebrity stylist Ami Patel who picked a perfect custom-made Anjul Bhandari muted ivory pure georgette lehenga fit for the bridey. The lehenga was laden with intricate handwork and detailing making it the perfect fit for the day-wedding festivities. The actor wore a 24-kali chikankari lehenga featuring a blouse, draped dupatta and lehenga skirt. The lehenga came decked with baby pearls, sequins and a shower of over 39,000 Swarovski crystals. The designer, Anjul Bhandari shared these details on her Instagram handle with the caption, “Love and only love for our gorgeous Bride @athiyashetty.”

Athiya donned the lemon chikankari lehenga by using her dupatta as a draped jacket. For accessories to go with the custom ensemble she went with a pair of ornate gold and polki bangles, a signature huge diamond ring, an ever-so-gorgeous maang teeka, and of course, the antique chandbalis from her nani’s curated closet. The heavy heirloom earrings were laden with dainty beads to add grandeur and were supported with a sleek chain to make them comfy.

Namrata Soni worked her magic as Athiya completed the look with a svelte hairstyle with curls at the ends that were complemented perfectly with fresh and minimal makeup featuring a sparkly subtle eye shadow look, liner to make the eyes pretty and a heavy layer of mascara on the lashes. Her cheeks looked flushed and glowing . The actor went for a nude pink lip, defined brows and a dash of light bronzer to look chiseled for the shaadi pictures.
