The National Testing Agency has announced that interested candidates can apply through the official UGC NET website – ugcnet.nta.ac.in. To apply for the UGC NET December 2024 examination, candidates will need to provide the following documents, as per the UGC website:
A recent photograph (file size: 10KB – 200KB) in colour or black and white with 80% of the face visible (without mask) and ears exposed, against a white background.
Candidate’s signature (file size: 4KB – 30KB).
A copy of the Board/University certificate showing the candidate’s name, mother’s name, father’s name, and date of birth.

A valid ID proof, such as a bank account passbook with a photograph, passport, Aadhaar card, voter ID card, or another government-issued ID.
Qualifying degree certificate or the last semester marks sheet.
Mailing address and permanent address with pin code.
Category certificate, if applicable.
Important Note: Only one application should be submitted by a candidate. Submitting multiple applications will result in the rejection of all forms.

The correction window for the UGC NET December 2024 application will open on December 12 and close on December 13, 2024. Candidates can correct their details in the application form on December 12- 13, 2024. Once the correction window closes, the exam centre city will be announced, and admit cards will be released shortly
As per the official notice by NTA, the written examination will be conducted from January 1 to January 19, 2025, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The test will consist of two sections, both containing objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between the papers.
