Traditionally, livestock management in India relied heavily on manual observation and experience, often leading to delays in identifying health issues in animals. This would lead to less milk production from cattle and other problems. Hilda, while growing up, witnessed her family selling off cattle when they became sick.
This inspired her to try and find a solution. Her vision was to give a voice to the voiceless.
Along with her partner, Revathy, developed a smart solution that equips farmers with real-time data on their livestock's health. Their technology tracks vital parameters—such as temperature, activity levels, and feeding patterns—to detect abnormalities and predict potential illnesses before they escalate.

The device, which they’ve named Artemis, is attached to the animals through a collar around their necks. It is solar-powered and the information about their health can be accessed through an app. By integrating technology into traditional farming practices, Hilda and Revathi empower farmers with data-driven insights, enhancing animal welfare and farm efficiency.
Hlda was sure that the launch of the product at a bigger level would mean more production of milk, and economic growth for farmers. Her 15 years of experience in the veterinary industry helped her develop this idea. She has developed the device not just for domesticated animals – she has also made a sensor for animals.
She aimed to take her product to all parts of the country. Her conviction, passion and grit impressed the jury on the show. To know whether she won the Rs 10 Lakh grant, watch Her Startup Show.
