NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round 1
As per the official schedule, the choice-filling window for NEET PG 2024 counselling round 1 will remain open until November 17, 2024. The choice-locking option will also be available on November 17, 2024 beginning at 4 p.m., with candidates able to finalise their selections until 11:55 p.m. Seat allotment will be determined based on the candidates' submitted choices, with the allocation process occurring from November 18 to 19, 2024. The results for round 1 counselling are set to be released on November 20, 2024.
Candidates assigned seats in the counselling process must report to their designated colleges between November 21 and 27, 2024. The registration process initially started on September 20, 2024. As per the official notice, applicants are permitted to submit only a single NEET PG counselling application. Any candidate submitting multiple applications will be excluded from the seat allotment process, have their candidature cancelled, and could face additional actions deemed necessary by the MCC of DGHS under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an updated information bulletin for the NEET PG 2024 counselling, highlighting key updates regarding the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) counselling and related eligibility criteria, according to India Today.
NEET PG COUNSELLING: AFMS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for postgraduate courses at Armed Forces Medical Services institutions:
- Candidates must have graduated from a medical college accredited by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and hold registration as a medical practitioner with an NMC-recognised state medical council.
- All applicants, aside from those in Priority 2, are required to be Indian citizens.
- Eligibility assessment for candidates in Priorities 3 and 4 will be handled by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).
- For those in Priority 5, the age limit is capped at 30 years as of December 31, 2024.
