When Twinkle Khanna and Kajol sit together on their show ‘Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle’, controversy is almost guaranteed. Known for her razor-sharp wit and unfiltered opinions, Khanna once again found herself at the centre of attention after sharing her take on relationships and infidelity in the show’s latest episode.
Previously, the author and former actor faced backlash for calling emotional infidelity worse than physical infidelity, joking, “raat gayi, baat gayi.” Many viewers accused her of trivialising cheating, while others defended her as being honest about modern relationships.
This time, Khanna courted attention for her views on how different generations approach love and secrecy.

During an episode featuring filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Ananya Panday, the panel was asked whether older people are better at hiding affairs than the younger generation. Without hesitation, Twinkle replied, “Older people are much better, lots of practice.”
Her response drew laughter from the guests, with both Farah and Ananya agreeing that social media makes it impossible for young people to keep secrets anymore. Kajol, however, disagreed, insisting that Gen Z is more adept at concealing all aspects of their lives, relationships included.
The exchange quickly gained traction online, with viewers divided over whether Twinkle was being humorous or brutally honest about societal double standards.

The conversation soon shifted to whether younger people change partners too quickly. Twinkle took a positive stance, suggesting that modern dating reflects greater freedom and emotional clarity.
“It’s a good thing,” she said. “In our time, we used to think, ‘What will people say?’ Now they’re simply like, ‘This isn’t working, let’s move on.’ They have no baggage.”
Ananya Panday chimed in that people have always switched partners; it was just “quieter” before.
Khanna’s remarks, while controversial, also point to a generational shift where relationships are less bound by societal expectations and more by personal choice.

This isn’t the first time Twinkle’s commentary has sparked debate. In a previous episode with Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor, her “raat gayi, baat gayi” quip on infidelity drew criticism online. Yet, her unapologetic honesty remains her trademark, making every episode of Two Much a mix of humour, insight, and headline-making moments.
