Tabu To Star In Hollywood Series Dune Prophecy: Everything You Need To Know About Her Role

Tabu In Dune Prophecy

After a long hiatus of 12 years, Tabu is all set to return for yet another eminent Hollywood project with the ‘Dune: Prophecy’ series. According to a report by the International Hollywood News website Variety, Tabu has bagged the role of Sister Francesca in the latest instalment of the Dune universe which was earlier to be named ‘Dune: The Sisterhood’.

The series will be based on Brian Herbert’s novel “Sisterhood of Dune” where Tabu’s role is described as, “Strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital.”

The ‘Dune’ universe has gained immense popularity ever since the Hollywood movies starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya were released. This Max web series is a prequel to the movie series.

“Set within the expansive universe of ‘Dune,’ created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit,” says the official tagline of the novel, according to Variety.

Dune: Prophecy Cast

While the premiere date for the series has not been made official yet, the project had been confirmed before the pandemic. The series boasts a dynamic cast including Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, Jodhi May, and Josh Heuston.
