Sushmita Sen took to her Instagram account to break the news that she suffered a heart attack a couple of days ago. The 47-year-old actor recently was in the news because of resuming shooting for the third season of her Disney+Hotstar series - Aarya.

Sharing an image with her father Subir Sen, the actor said she suffered a heart attack a couple of days back. She assured her fans that she was okay and had an angioplasty done.
She quoted her father, “Keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona.”

Jokingly Sushmita Sen also wrote that her cardiologist reconfirmed that she has a big heart. She said she had many people to thank for their “timely aid and constructive action… will do so in another post.”
She further wrote that this post was only to reassure her well-wishers and loved ones that she was okay. “That I am well & I am ready for some life again!!!”

Recently, Sen dropped a video and a few images of her on the sets of Aarya season three. In the caption of the video, she wrote, “There ain’t no Sher strong enough to match this Sherni. Brace yourselves, she’s got her claws out!”
In October, the actor shared the first look of her upcoming film ‘Taali’ in which she would be playing a transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Sawant was involved in the process of selecting the actor who would play her on the screen. She added that people from her community wanted a woman to play the role instead of a man.
