Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Says She Is “Too Desi” After Leaving A Naked Party In 20 Minutes

Indian actor and model Suchitra Krishnamoorthi is best known for her roles in ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘My Wife's Murder’, ‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’, ‘Rann’, ‘Kilukkampetti’, and ‘Never Kiss Your Best Friend’. She recently attended a naked party in Berlin, Germany which she claims to have escaped within 20 minutes due to discomfort and her “too desi” attitude. Keep reading to know more.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi took to Twitter (X) to share her experience about the naked party in Berlin. She wrote, “Just attended a body positivity/naked party in Berlin. Reminded me of the quote: don't be so open-minded that our brains fall out. Desi girl forever. Need a sĥower & some Gayatri mantra chanting. Baapre”.

Further, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi emphasised her uncomfortable experience. She said, “These things are very, very common over here. The whole point of it is to promote body positivity and get over hang-ups with our bodies. I thought, ‘Chalo, experience karte hai’. The party was held in a bar which belonged to a friend of a friend. I was put on the guest list. I went for it and in no time, I ran away as I am too desi. Mujhe kisi ke b**bs ya bu***cks nahin dekhne hai (laughs)!”

She shared how the party was organised to increase body positivity and had no vulgarity involved. However, due to the mentality that we Indians are raised with, we believe in covering our bodies.

She added, “I was there, I think, for around 20 minutes or a maximum of half an hour. It was an all-night party. There were many people but it was an invite-only bash. It was not a public event.”

A naked party is a gathering of undressed individuals to raise body positivity and accept themselves and each other despite their flawed selves. While it is highly frowned upon in Asian countries like India, naked parties are a big hit in the Western hemisphere of the globe.
