Amidst Shakira making headlines for her latest song Out Of Your League, her former partner footballer Gerard Pique shared a picture on social media with his 23-year-old rumoured girlfriend on January 26, 2023.

While the picture had no caption, the comment section will definitely entertain you where several celebrities have come out in support of Shakira and made references to her song including Ahsaas Channa who commented, “Bro you suck.”

The first month of 2023 has been all about Shakira’s song which has alleged references to Pique cheating on her and Miley Cyrus’s song Flowers on self-love which is purportedly a response to Bruno Mars’ song When I Was Your Man which Liam Hemsworth allegedly had dedicated to her.

However, neither of the two singers has confirmed or denied the speculations around the songs and the allegations related to them.

Shakira And Gerard Pique

Shakira and the Spanish footballer met in 2010 on the set of Waka Waka music video, the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup which starred Pique among several other footballers. They made their relationship social media official in 2011 followed by the first red-carpet appearance in 2012. They welcomed their first child in 2013 and their second in 2015.

In June 2022, Shakira and Pique issued a statement announcing that they were splitting ways after 11 years of togetherness.

The song, which people are calling a ‘revenge’ song and has broken YouTube records, is an amalgamation of empowerment, liberation, sadness, bitterness, and alleged revenge.

In the viral song one of her digs goes like, “You swapped a Ferrari for a [Renault] Twingo, You swapped a Rolex for a Casio.” A few days later, Pique was seen partnering with Casio and driving a Twingo.

Miley Cyrus’ Flowers has turned into an anthem of self-love for all the singles out there. The song’s lyrics goes-

Many pointed out that it is a reply to Bruno Mars song When I Was Your Man, where the lyrics goes-

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2009 while filming the the music video of The Last Song and started dating. In August 2010 their representatives confirmed that they broke up, however, they got back together a month later. After a few more on and off phase, in May 2012, the duo got engaged. In September 2013, they announced their engagement was called off and in 2016 they got engaged once again. In December 2018, the duo confirmed that they were married but in August 2019 Hemsworth filed for divorce.
