In 2016, during Selena Gomez’s Revival tour, everything seemed normal from the outside. But recently after the release of her documentary “My Mind & Me”, the world got a candid look at Selena’s struggles behind the scenes during that tour. At the beginning of the documentary, Gomez was captured struggling with her relationship with her body at that time. She felt “too small and skinny” and criticised herself. Even though she was on stage performing her latest hits, backstage she was struggling with body dysmorphia and she expressed feeling “not good enough”. This is a great example for her audience to see and learn that nobody is alone in their struggles. Even if everything seems perfect from the outside, somebody may still be struggling behind the scenes and this was a great inspiration for all her fans.
