Why Are Nora Fatehi And Sanjay Dutt Summoned By National Commission For Women

According to a report by PTI, the panel had taken suo motu cognisance of the song over its allegedly objectionable lyrics and had conducted a hearing on April 6. The hearing was chaired by NCW chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar.

During this hearing, Nora's counsel appeared before the commission, but the body declined to accept representation through a lawyer. The commission has directed that the actress should present herself in this case. In the statement published by the NCW, read as, "A final opportunity has been granted to Nora Fatehi to appear in person before the commission on April 27, 2026,"

The proceedings also had lyricist Raqueeb Alam, director Prem, and representatives of KVN Productions, Gautam KM and Suprith present.

The song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ was released on streaming platforms on March 15, 2026. Within hours of the song’s release, people started a debate over its alleged vulgar and obscene lyrics. This song is a part of the upcoming pan-India Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’. Along with actress Nora Fatehi, veteran actor Sanjay Dutt also features in this controversial song. This movie is being directed by Prem and is gearing up to hit theatres soon.
