RRR, the pan-India magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli, won the Best Original Score by MM Keeravani at the Boston Society of Film Critics on the night of December 11. This comes amidst a series of international wins in the past few months for the film that is gearing up for the upcoming Oscars 2023.
"WINNER, Best Original Score: RRR (by M. M. Keeravani), Runner Up: WOMEN TALKING (by Hildur Guðnadóttir)," wrote Boston Society of Film Critics Circle on Twitter.
In the past week, the film won the Best International Film award at the Atlanta Film Critics Circle. Announcing the same, the agency wrote on Twitter, "The 2022 Atlanta Film Critics Circle Awards. Best International Picture: RRR" while sharing a picture of actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR.

Earlier, Rajamouli had won the Best Director award at the New York Film Critics Circle . The winners were announced by the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) on its social media platforms and the same was shared by RRR’s official Twitter account at the movie gala.
The film is currently revving up for its campaign for the upcoming Golden Globes and eventually the Academy Awards, both scheduled for early next year.

Last month, RRR was submitted to the Academy for nomination in 14 categories as RRR’s Oscar campaign kickstarted. The Rajamouli directorial has been submitted for the For Your Consideration campaign in all major categories for the upcoming Academy Awards. The campaign was launched on September 30, 2022, with a massive screening at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

Confirming the news to The Indian Express, a Variance Films representative listed the categories in which RRR has been submitted. The categories include Best Picture (DVV Danayya), Best Director (Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Best Actress (Alia Bhatt), Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Screenplay, Original Song, Score, Editing, Cinematography, Sound, Production Design, and VFX, among others. While Naatu Naatu has been submitted in the Best Original Song category.

RRR was one of the biggest box office hits of this year after collecting an estimated ₹1,150–1,200 crores. Set in 1920, the film revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), and their fight against the British Raj. It also explores the undocumented period in their lives when both the revolutionaries chose to go into obscurity before they began the fight for their country.
