During the conversation, Rakul acknowledged that she had lost a lot of opportunities due to nepotism but chose not to dwell on it. “Yes, this happens, and I have lost films, but I am not the kind of person Jo bitter hoke beth jayega [who will sit and sulk]. Maybe those films weren’t meant for me,” she said.
She further said, "I think that's life, the sooner you understand this, the better it is for your progress." She also shared that her upbringing has helped her approach every situation with a positive outlook. She also recounted her father’s advice and how his experience in the army taught her not to fixate on what’s beyond her control. “I had to go into the army; my dad would share his experience with me. Nepotism, I don’t think too much about it,” she added.
Rakul Preet Says 'Nepotism is not something I think too much about'
Speaking candidly, Rakul Preet said, “Tomorrow, if my kids want help, of course, I will help them out and not force the same struggle as I had to undergo on them. Similarly, if star kids get easy access, it is because their parents have worked hard. So nepotism is not something I think too much about. Yes, this is a reality, films have been taken away from me, but I am not a person who will get bitter. Maybe these projects were not meant for me. I move on. I feel bad for a day and then snatch it out of it.”
