Priyanka Chopra Jonas Says, ‘We Have A Limited Role Actors Do Nothing’

Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently visited India for the launch of her haircare brand Anomaly and attended many events to promote it. She visited India after three years. It seeks to transform the hair care industry by introducing gender-neutral, ethical, and environmentally friendly products. In an interview with Janice Sequeria, Chopra said that people give too much credit to actors. She also gave kudos to filmmakers because of whom she learned to be the best actor.

During the interview, Chopra said that working with the best filmmakers taught her how to be the best actor. She shared, “This doesn’t have to do with just working with the best in the business in the States. Even when I was working in Bollywood, working with the best filmmakers taught me how to be the best actor. We give too much credit to actors; actors do nothing by the way. We really don’t. I’ve always said this. Actors do nothing.“

She further said that "We say out somebody else's words, we are working on a script that is written by someone else, singing songs and lip-syncing songs that are in someone else's voice. We're dancing steps that are choreographed by somebody else. We are dressed by somebody, and hair (Frizzy Hair: Beauty Tips For Women To Fix Flying Locks) and makeup are done by somebody. So what am I doing?"

She mentioned that the actor’s job only comes in between action and cut, “So I have a very limited role,” Chopra noted.

On the work front, the global icon was last seen in The Matrix Resurrections. She will be next seen in the Citadel web series and Jee Le Zara movie with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which will mark her Bollywood comeback.
