Pankaj Udhas, a renowned ghazal and Bollywood playback singer took his final breaths today, February 26, 2024. The Padma Shri recipient died at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness, as announced by the singer’s family members. The singer passed away around 11 am in a hospital in Mumbai.
On behalf of the Udhas family, Pankaj Udhas’s daughter Nayaab took to her Instagram with a heartbreaking message which read, "With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness. - Udhas Family"
