Who Is Pakistani Actor Samina Ahmad Who Found Love At 70?

Samina Ahmad, one of the most loved, respected and popular veteran Pakistani actors, has been winning hearts on the internet. Not just with her roles, but by getting married at the age of 70.

Ahmad found love in her 70s and tied the knot to Manzar Sehbai at the age of 70 on April 4, 2020 in a private nikah (wedding) ceremony in Lahore. As per reports, Ahmad moved to Germany with her in-laws after her marriage to Manzar Sehbai.

Born in Lahore in 1950, the veteran television actor, stage performer, producer and director, has appeared in nearly 70 ventures. Though Ahmad, now 70, debuted her career with serious plays on Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), and she is known for comedy plays like Akkar Bakkar, Taal Matol, Alif Noon and Such Gup. She also acted in the famous comedy drama Family Front (1997 Comedy Drama TV Series).

Ahmad also worked as a programme director at Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore for two decades while simultaneously also performing on television. Later she launched her own television company named as Samina Ahmad Productions in 1997, which produced the widely-popular TV drama Family Front.

Ahmad has also been an active member of Women's Action Forum in Pakistan.

Samina Ahmad Personal Life

The actor was earlier married to Pakistani filmmaker Fariduddin Ahmad, the son of veteran filmmaker W.Z. Ahmad, the maker of a popular Pakistani film Waada (1957). From her first marriage she has a son and a daughter together.

However, the couple divorced a few years before he passed away in 1993.

Manzar Sehbai

Born in Sialkot in 1950, the veteran Pakistani actor made his film debut in 2011 with Shoaib Mansoor's Bol for which he won Lux Style Awards and SAARC Film Awards. His film Zinda Bhaag became Pakistan's entry for Best Foreign Language Film in 2013's Academy Awards.
