Nafisa Ali Embraces Bald Look, Spreading A Message Of 'Positive Power' Amid Cancer Treatment

Veteran actress and former Miss India, Nafisa Ali, has been fighting with stage 4 peritoneal and ovarian cancer since 2018. A while ago, she resumed her chemotherapy as surgery is not an option for her currently. Recently, she flaunted her bald look amidst her cancer treatment and as a major side-effect of chemotherapy.

Diva is known for her big, bright smile, which can lift anyone's heart. The actress took to her Instagram handle and posted two pictures, flaunting her bald look. She was dressed up in a yellow-hued gingham top with brown pants. She wore her reading glasses and her usual big smile, showing immense courage while fighting cancer. Along with it, she wrote: “Positive power …with my best friend Gaby.”

More About Nafisa Ali Cancer Journey

The actress was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in November 2018. Following her doctors' treatment plan, she was declared cancer-free a year later. Despite her successful recovery, she has been open about her ongoing health journey, noting that she must still undergo check-ups every three months. She shared her feelings on the process, stating, "I still have to go for check-ups every three months, and it will be five years before it can be said that the cancer is in remission, but it was still a good reason to reach for the champagne."

A Look at Nafisa Ali’s Notable Career

Nafisa has had a remarkable career spanning decades in the Hindi film industry. She was last seen in the 2022 Hindi film Uunchai, where she shared the screen with an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani. Ali's notable work began with her debut in the 1979 film Junoon, opposite Shashi Kapoor. She went on to work with Amitabh Bachchan in Major Saab and appeared in other popular films such as Bewafaa, Life In A... Metro, Guzaarish, and Yamla Pagla Deewana.
