Renowned TV actress Mahhi Vij, best known for leading major shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan, has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. The admission follows a struggle with persistent high fever and prolonged weakness. The news has left her fans worried, particularly as it follows recent rumours surrounding her marriage to actor Jay Bhanushali.

Mahhi Vij's Hospitalisation Details

In a statement from her team, it was revealed that Mahhi is currently stable, though doctors are conducting tests to determine the precise cause of her ailment.

Concern was initially sparked when a paparazzi account first shared images of the actress lying in a hospital bed. Mahhi's publicist, Avantika Sinha, subsequently validated the claim, stating that the actress was hospitalised after her fever increased and she experienced intense weakness. Sinha added that tests are ongoing, and Mahhi is under close medical supervision.

Soon after the news broke, her fans took to social media to convey their well wishes, sharing heartwarming messages for a speedy recovery.

The actress had previously shared on Instagram about fighting a viral infection, posting pictures of her medications and thanking her family for support. However, no specific medical condition had been officially confirmed at that stage.

Mahhi Vij's Personal Life: Addressing Divorce Rumours

The news of Mahhi's hospitalisation comes at a time when her personal life is under scrutiny amid rumours of her divorce from husband, actor Jay Bhanushali. She recently used her new vlog to address the speculations and react to claims that she had taken ₹5 crore in alimony after their alleged separation.

Regarding the rumors, she stated: "I read somewhere that I have signed the divorce papers, but until we say something ourselves, no one has the right to interfere in our personal lives and personal space. I know we are public figures, but we will tell you only what we want to. Until you hear it from me, please don't believe anything."

Mahhi urged fans to respect their privacy, adding: "Please respect our privacy, that of our kids and parents as well. It's a request, please leave us alone. If we think we need to tell you something, we will. Jay is my family and will always be my family. He is a wonderful father to my child and a wonderful human being."

Mahhi and Jay first met at a party and instantly connected. After dating for a few years, the two got married in 2010 in an intimate ceremony. The couple are parents to three children: their biological daughter Tara, and two foster kids, Rajveer and Khushi.

Mahhi will soon be seen in a show titled Seher Hone Ko Hai after a nine-year hiatus from television, and remains focused on her comeback.
