Perry had weighed in on the bizarre moment with a lighthearted joke: “Thank god he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads.”

Rose, however, used the thread to level her accusation. She commented: “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sh*t what she thinks.” When shocked followers pressed for more information, the 40-year-old actress decided it was time to share her story in full.

Ruby Rose Details the Alleged Nightclub Incident

Rose recounted a graphic encounter at the Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne from when she was in her early 20s. She described trying to avoid the singer by resting her head on a friend’s lap.

“She didn’t kiss me. She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her,” Rose wrote.

The actress explained that she spent years framing the ordeal as a “funny drunk story” because she felt ill-equipped to process it as an assault at the time. She also admitted to a complicated power dynamic, noting that Perry later assisted her with a US visa. “So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell y’all she wasn’t a good person,” Rose told her followers.

She advised others in similar positions that the act of speaking out is for personal survival: “You don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer.”

The scandal comes during a high-profile period for Perry, who is currently dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau following her split from actor Orlando Bloom last year. Perry has yet to comment on the matter personally, leaving the defence to her legal and PR representatives.
