With all the ongoing controversies and fights in the show, HerZindagi recently did an interview with Splitsvilla 16 contestant, Ron Kariappa. Fans have always liked Ron’s demeanour on the reality show and how he interacts with other contestants. Ron Kariappa’s Green Flag Persona That Won Hearts

A major part behind Ron becoming a fan favourite has to be his sweet, respectful personality. When asked about what he would categorise himself under, Ron said, “I would like to stick with the tag of a green flag itself. If you are asking me what fits me best, a positive name tag is always better.” 

He further talked about how people have green flag and red qualities, both saying, “If you're asking me if I am a red flag or a green flag, I think like it's important to understand that I am a human being at the end of the day, and I will have good sides to myself as well and bad sides as well. So I think at the end of the day, we're all just a mix of green and red, both.”

Many Splistvilla 16 fans often referred to Ron as a gentleman in the show. Ron said, “I'm glad I got the tag of a gentleman. It's actually quite nice to hear as well. I'm sure my parents are also very proud of the fact that people are calling me a gentleman.” 

He also talked about how staying true to his ‘gentleman traits’ didn’t help him in the game. “When it comes to the game, if you ask me, no, it was not beneficial at all. I think if I had another chance to do the game again, I would try to get rid of this gentlemanliness and focus a little more on strategy and how to win. But for the time being, I managed to showcase a bit of my personality. I'm glad that people are considering that to be a gentlemanly trait, and I'm very happy it turned out to be that way.”

Splistvilla 16's Ron Kariappa On Connection With Asmita

We see Ron and Asmita share a beautiful connection during ‘Splitsvilla 16’. While the two haven’t been spotted together outside the show, we had to ask him about their connection status. Ron talked about his relationship with Asmita, saying, “I am not in touch with Asmita right now, and I have taken my space regarding the same. I am also trying to stay respectful of her decision, but I have to talk about my side of the story because there are a lot of speculations on the internet”

For all the fans still shipping Ron and Asmita together, we probably won’t be seeing this duo together anytime soon. 

Ron Kariappa’s Journey On Splitsvilla 16 

When talking about his journey in this reality show, Ron talked about how much he has learnt and grown by being a part of ‘Splitsvilla 16’. “I've learned a lot of things, primarily in the aspect of how to have boundaries around people, how to not always overly accept the people around you and how to be a little more careful about those kinds of things.”

He continued saying that, “Even in those intense situations, like tasks and Dome sessions, it was quite beneficial for me, because you have to use your brain and come up with responses in a very short moment of time. Here, a lot of things depend upon your survival in the game. So, because of all of these things, I feel like there was a lot to learn from the show.” 

The 24-year-old is now trying to implement all his learning from the show to make himself better.

Is Splitsvilla 16 Scripted? How Does Editing Change Narratives

A common question that pops up in viewers’ minds while watching reality shows like ‘Splitsvilla’ is whether the never-ending drama and chaos are all scripted or are the genuine reactions of contestants. 

Ron’s answer to this was, “The scripted part of Splitsvilla comes in the aspect of it's a game at the end of the day, right? So, they have their own rules and regulations. In that regard, it will be very scripted. For example, how a task is going to be, what we're going to perform, and how the performance happens and all of those things. What is not scripted are their genuine reactions towards everything. ”

Splitsvilla Happening Outside The Reality Show

Ever since this reality show aired, there have been multiple controversies and scandals surrounding the contestants. Ron commented on the ongoing drama and tensions by saying, “I think in a certain aspect, I can complain, saying that, okay, it's becoming problematic and there are so many problems happening. But in another way, I feel grateful because they are creating chaos and because of that, we are also getting highlighted. The TRP of the show is increasing because these people are creating drama outside.” 

He further added, “So, in a way, I'm very happy. Please continue doing drama so that I don't have to do drama, and the show gets promoted easily as well.”

Ron Kariappa’s Upcoming Projects

For fans who are looking forward to seeing Ron star in new projects, he has exciting news for you. He talked about his upcoming projects, saying, “I'm prepping up for the next web series that I've gotten hold of for now, and I have a couple of other projects that I'm looking forward to.” He also mentioned that he might be planning to start a new brand soon.
