Govinda Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumours

When asked directly about the divorce rumours in a recent interview with ETimes, Govinda gave a somewhat vague reply, neither confirming nor denying the speculation. “These are only business talks going on. I am in the process of starting my films,” he said, seemingly steering the conversation toward his professional projects rather than addressing the personal matter head-on.

Adding another layer to the story, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, hinted that recent public statements by Sunita Ahuja might have sparked the current tension. Speaking to HT City, Sinha said, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai (Sunita ma’am said a lot of things in recent interviews, she said too much. This is the result).” He also acknowledged that there’s been some friction in the relationship, noting, “And you know Govinda sir... there is friction.”

In contrast to the divorce narrative, Govinda’s niece, Arti Singh, has firmly dismissed the rumours. Speaking to News 18, she stated, “I am honestly not in Mumbai right now, so I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody. But let me tell you something, this is false news.” She emphasised the strong bond between Govinda and Sunita, describing their relationship as solid and enduring.

Adding more intrigue to the situation, entertainment news outlets have reported that Govinda’s alleged closeness to a 30-year-old Marathi co-star may have contributed to the marital strain.
