In this video, Smriti is seen with her fellow players Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Arundhati Reddy.

All players can be seen performing a short dance act to the song 'Samjho Ho Hi Gaya' from the movie 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai'. At the end of the video, Smriti reveals her engagement ring.

As soon as the reel was posted, the couple's fans congratulated her in the comment section. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wrote a letter to the couple wishing them well. "As the two embark on a new beautiful life together, the beauty of Smriti's cover drive forms a wonderful partnership with Palash's sweet musical symphony," PM Modi noted, adding, "It is very good that a friendly cricket match has been organised between the groom's team and the bride's team. Our best wishes are that both teams win this game of life."

Smriti Mandhana And Palash Muchhal's Love Story

According to reports, Smriti and Palash first met in 2019, initially introduced through mutual friends in Mumbai's creative circles. They bonded over their shared interests in music and sports, and their friendship soon blossomed. What started off as friendship soon turned into something deeper; however, the couple kept their relationship private.

For several years, they only showed their bond through random comments on each other's posts and an unseen dedication hidden in a song lyric, but nothing was official. Their relationship only went public after Palash shared sweet Instagram photos celebrating their fifth anniversary in 2024. The post just featured the number 5 and a heart emoji, with years of speculation coming to an end.

To honour their love, Palash also got a full-fledged tattoo dedicated solely to Smriti. The tattoo featured a solid grey circle with 'SM18' inscribed on it. 'SM' is for Smriti Mandhana, and '18' is her jersey number.

Soon after, Palash proposed to Smriti at their home, with their families in attendance. He even dedicated a romantic song just for her. They cut a small cake, hugged their families, and the five-year-long wait came to an end.

Now, with Smriti making their engagement official, there are rumours that the couple will tie the knot on November 23, 2025 at Smriti's hometown, Sangli in Maharashtra.
