Amidst all the films and fashion, here’s what happened on the second day of the 77th Cannes Film Festival this year.
Following India's official renaming as Bharat at the G20 summit, the India Pavilion in Cannes was re-inaugurated and renamed as the Bharat Pavilion on May 15. Leading the inauguration were Jawed Ashraf, the Indian ambassador to France, and Sanjay Jaju, the secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Ankush Bahuguna made history with his debut at Cannes 2024 as the first Indian male beauty influencer to grace the red carpet. He embraced Indian heritage and culture in a Torani purple kurta pantsuit with a multicoloured embroidered jacket.
