Fans of ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ were left worried when beloved actor Aasif Sheikh, who plays Vibhuti Narayan Mishra on the show, suddenly fell ill during filming in Dehradun. The incident happened while he was shooting a high-energy fight scene. He was quickly taken to the hospital, and thankfully, he has since shared an update to let everyone know he’s recovering.

Aasif Sheikh’s Message to Fans

After the scare, Aasif took to social media to explain what happened. He said that while filming in Dehradun, he started feeling strange first, his foot went numb, and then he was hit by a sharp pain in his lower back (sciatica). The pain got so bad that he collapsed.

"I was brought back to Mumbai in a wheelchair," he shared. "Since arriving on the 18th, I’ve been resting and getting treatment. The doctors have asked me to take it easy for another week." Despite the setback, Aasif remained hopeful, saying, "I can’t wait to get back to work soon!" His fans were relieved to hear he’s doing better.

Sources close to the show said Aasif had been working hard, and the demanding shoot schedule, especially the fight scenes, left him exhausted. "He fainted from sheer tiredness," a source told. "But he’s stable now and getting the care he needs."

Another insider said that the intense action sequences likely took too much out of him. After he collapsed, the team acted fast, he was given medical help on the spot and later moved to Mumbai for further treatment.

Aasif Sheikh has been a familiar face in Indian entertainment for over 30 years. Since starting his career in 1988, he’s been part of hit TV shows like ‘Mehndi Tere Naam Ki’, ‘Hassi Woh Phassi’, and ‘Detective Karan’, as well as movies like ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Banarasi Babu’.
